DISCOVER BIELEFELD

The nearest major city in the region is Bielefeld. About 320,000 people live in Bielefeld, which combines the advantages of a city with plenty of leisure opportunities. An excellent traffic network, a variety of restaurants and pubs, and a broad choice of accommodations make this university town an attractive place to stay. Major sights, restaurants, bars and shops are within walking distance in and around the city center. We suggest that you use the public transportation system or explore on foot to discover Bielefeld.

If you prefer to stay closer to the Halle facility, you can enjoy this small town, with its historic city center and places to hike or play golf or tennis. In June, you may be lucky and meet one of the tennis pros playing at the only German Association of Tennis Professionals grass tennis tournament, which takes place at the OWL Arena World in Halle.
